2026 Advocate of the Quarter – Q2
My name is Eugina Misquez. I am a proud member of the Mescalero Apache Tribe, a devoted mother to four amazing boys, a loving grandmother to my beautiful granddaughter, and a foster parent to an amazing young boy. My family is the center of my life and inspires me every day to lead with strength, compassion, and resilience. My Native heritage has shaped my values, teaching me the importance of community, respect, and caring for others. I am proud of who I am, where I come from, and the love and support I provide to my family, friends and co-workers.
As someone who is also a survivor of domestic violence, this work is deeply personal to me. My pain became my purpose, and my healing inspired me to help others find theirs. Being an advocate means listening without judgment, believing survivors, and walking beside them as they rediscover their strength, reclaim their voice, and know they are never alone. I am honored to use my story to bring hope, healing, and empowerment to others.
