Families Impacted by the Missing & Murdered Indigenous Women and Relatives (MMIWR) Crisis in New Mexico Share Stories, Call for Action

Albuquerque, NM – The Coalition to Stop Violence Against Native Women (CSVANW) will be holding a press conference on July 1st, from 10 to 11:30 am, at the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center’s Courtyard in Albuquerque, NM. The press conference aims to provide a platform for families from across the state of New Mexico and the four corners region who have been impacted by the crisis of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Relatives (MMIWR) to share their stories, provide updates, and call for action to their personal crises, often ignored by the media.

The press conference will feature heartfelt testimonies from families who have been directly affected and advocates. These courageous individuals will share their personal experiences, shedding light on the devastating consequences of the ongoing epidemic of violence against Indigenous women and relatives. Through their stories, they will be empowering themselves and inspire change by drawing attention to the urgent need for action, justice, and support for MMIWR families.
