Coalition to Stop Violence Against Native Women Announces Tiffany Jiron as New Executive Director

Albuquerque, N.M. – The Coalition to Stop Violence Against Native Women (CSVANW) is delighted to announce the appointment of Tiffany Jiron as its new Executive Director. With a rich background in advocacy, a deep commitment to community, and a passion for addressing violence against Native women and children, Tiffany Jiron embodies the organization’s mission to create a world free of violence and oppression.

“After a comprehensive and thoughtful process we have selected a leader who has demonstrated exceptional dedication and capability. Tiffany Jiron has not only shown a profound love for our organization and its mission but also an exceptional ability to strengthen our organizational foundation. Her leadership is marked by a robust and unmistakable sense of integrity in every aspect of her work,” said Chair Paula Feathers, CSVANW Board of Directors.

Tiffany Jiron, a proud Pueblo woman from the Pueblo of Isleta, is a dedicated advocate with a track record of working tirelessly to support survivors and tribal communities. As a first-generation cycle breaker of violence and a mother to three young children, Tiffany’s personal journey has fueled her passion for making a positive impact.

“I am honored and humbled to step into the role of Executive Director at CSVANW. This organization has a long history of advocating for the safety and well-being of Native women and children, and I am thrilled to continue this important work. As a survivor-led organization, we understand the vital importance of community and the need to uplift those affected by violence. CSVANW’s commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and healing resonates deeply with me, and I look forward to advancing our mission,” said Tiffany Jiron.

CSVANW is renowned for its dedication to creating social, political, and economic environments where violence against Native women and children is eradicated. Tiffany Jiron’s appointment reflects CSVANW’s ongoing commitment to advocating for survivors and tribal communities, as well as amplifying the voices and stories of Native women.

Tiffany’s background in social work, her extensive experience in policy analysis, community engagement, public education, and crisis intervention, along with her academic excellence as a social work student at the Facundo Valdez School of Social Work at New Mexico Highlands University, make her exceptionally well-suited to lead CSVANW into the future.

“Her commitment to CSVANW and its mission, combined with her proven track record in fostering organizational growth and stability, assures us that she is the ideal person to lead our organization forward. We are confident that under her guidance, CSVANW will continue to make significant strides in our vital work of combating violence against Native women and children,” Feather said.
