Living Roots is an up and coming duo from Oregon made up of Travis Bond and Logan Brown. Through their unique combination of world instruments & soulful vocals the two create an uplifting atmosphere full of infectious good vibes. Mixing Didgeridoo, Flute, Kalimba, Ukulele and other distinctive sounds they are always finding new avenues of creativity and often collaborate with artists from many different backgrounds. Music is the duo’s favorite medicine and when listening to their music you’ll hear the healing vibrations woven throughout each song.

This album release spotlights the gift and power that is the sacred feminine. Featuring eight different female musicians with eight distinct musical styles. Working with all of this variety, Living Roots cultivates a cohesive album spanning a wide spectrum of emotions and flavor. With compositions that include a blues song written with Egyptian sisters, a healing mantra and an upbeat electronic groove, to highlight a few, this album entices diverse listeners with different tastes. The title track, Queen Bee is a soulful, downtempo song that speaks to the power we all have to manifest beauty in our lives.

Wanting to make a bigger impact with their music, Living Roots has chosen to support the Coalition to Stop Violence Against Native Women (CSVANW) by donating 25% of the profits from the upcoming Queen Bee album. Delving deeper into the movement around Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women (MMIW) sparked the idea to create this album and inspired Living Roots to collaborate exclusively with female artists for this album. The duo believes that a strong community is the best way to bring about change and hope to use their music to amplify voices that often go unheard. This project beautifully combines good vibrations from soulful music and an opportunity to showcase an important cause.
