As a tribal coalition, CSVANW does not provide emergency or direct services.  If you are in an unsafe situation or need immediate assistance please dial 911.

The approach CSVANW takes is informed by one fundamental value:

Work to engage tribal communities and community solutions organically through developing meaningful and authentic partnerships and relationships based on respect.

As part of its mission, CSVANW provides a multitude of training opportunities to its Members and those working within the domestic violence and sexual assault movement in tribal communities. Training workshops focus on building service-provider capacity and community response to violence in tribal communities. CSVANW offers travel scholarships and sponsorship opportunities to CSVANW Members.

Meet Our Training Staff

What are participants saying about our trainings?

Training with the coalition has provided me with some valuable information that I have overlooked or have forgotten. Thank you for the refresher and some new and valuable information.
- Intersections or MMIWR & Gender Based Violence 2023
I appreciated the holistic aspects of the training and it was very well organized and helpful practically, somatically and Spiritually.
- Sexual Violence in Tribal Communities Training 2023
I found this training more than valuable. As a victim provider experiencing burnout. I can say this training was revitalizing and renewing. I feel more empowered and driven to continue the work.
- Sexual Violence in Tribal Communities Training 2023
This training is amazing! I’m happy I got to stay for the whole training and refresh my knowledge on Sexual Assault. I enjoyed listening to how we can support Sexual Assault survivors and got more tips, pointers, and knowledge.
- Sexual Violence in Tribal Communities Training 2023
Thank you and your organization for all the great work and education you provide to our communities. Your staff are amazing leaders, educators and advocates. This was so valuable and educational. Thank you.
- Housing our relatives for Trafficking Prevention & Aftercare 2023
I really enjoyed the information because for new advocates who are just starting out, the information presented helps understand how to be, what to say, and how to say things. It helps clarify the information that needed for documentation and also, how to document with purpose.
- 40 Hour Advocacy Training 2024
I feel this if effective and balanced, I enjoy this training more than others that I have taken. All the presentations were needed and really great information and all interconnected which is great.
