May 5th Event for Impacted Families of Missing & Murdered Indigenous Women and Relatives (MMIWR)
Albuquerque, NM – The Coalition to Stop Violence Against Native Women (CSVANW) is hosting a significant event in collaboration with the New Mexico Indian Affairs Department (IAD) on May 5th, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center in Albuquerque. This event, titled “Missing & Murdered Indigenous Women and Relatives (MMIWR) Day,” aims to provide a platform for families in New Mexico and the Four Corners Region impacted by the MMIWR crisis to share their stories and provide updates.

When: May 5, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. MST
Where: Indian Pueblo Cultural Center, Albuquerque, NM
Spokespeople/Interviews: CSVANW representatives and community members will be available for interviews post-press conference.
CSVANW is dedicated to supporting MMIWR families and advocating for justice, awareness, and prevention. This event aims to mobilize media and public support to address the MMIWR crisis and work towards ending violence against Indigenous women and relatives.
