As a tribal coalition, CSVANW does not provide emergency or direct services.  If you are in an unsafe situation or need immediate assistance please dial 911.

My name is Trudy Chee (Diné/Navajo), and I am from Shiprock, New Mexico. I am of the Water Flow Together Clan and born for the Red Running Into the Water People Clan.

I currently serve as the Shelter Director for the Northern TREE House Shelter, operated under Utah Navajo Health Services. I have been a victim advocate for over twenty-three years, and I truly love the work I do. My dedication lies in providing safety, shelter, crisis intervention, court support, safety planning, and building strong partnerships with other agencies. I am passionate about promoting community awareness to address the challenges our relatives face with domestic, sexual, and family violence.

To me, being an advocate means being a voice for our survivors, listening to their stories, honoring their choices, and walking alongside them as they take their next steps. I support them with compassion and ensure they receive services rooted in professionalism and trauma-informed care.
