Membership Information
The Coalition to Stop Violence Against Native Women’s membership represents the broadest and most unified voice in advocating and collectively addressing violence against Native women and children acreoss our region. An alliance of more than 50 passionate, distinguised, and highly committed organizations and individuals, CSVANW’s membership works aggressively to raise awareness about the public safety of Native women and children at the sate, tribal, and federal levels – in addition to providing the utmost critical lifeline services to those affected by violence.
CSVANW is proud to have members who are passionate field experts and advocates. Together, this group champions the collective direction and vision of CSVANW. The role of Members within the Coalition to Stop Vioence Against Native Women (CSVANW) is critical to advancing our collective mission of ending violence against Native women, children, and communities. Our members are the heart of our movement, working together to create safer and stronger Tribal communities through advocacy, education, and support.

Key Roles of CSVANW Members
- Advocacy & Policy Influence: Members help shape policies and initiatives that address the root causes of violence in Native communities. Their voices inform CSVANW’s efforts to push for systemic change at local, state, and national levels.
- Community Engagement & Awareness: Members serve as ambassadors for CSVANW, raising awareness about domestic violence, sexual assault, and missing and murdered Indigenous relatives (MMIR) through education, outreach, and storytelling.
- Training & Capacity Building: Members participate in and contribute to CSVANW’s trainings, workshops, and resource-sharing opportunities to strengthen advocacy efforts and increase community knowledge on addressing violence.
- Collaboration & Support: Members foster a network of support among advocates, service providers, and community leaders, working together to share resources, best preactics, and innovative soluitons.
- Cultural Revitalization & Healing: Members uphold and promote traditional values and cultural teachings as pathways to healing and breaking cycles of violence.
- Youth & Leadership Development: CSVANW members mentor and uplift the next generation of Indigenous leaders, empowering youth to engage in advocacy and prevention work.
- member Voice: CSVANW members have a strong voice to help guide the direction of the organization when CSVANW values are met with a challenge, ensuring that our commitment to kinship, culture, innovation, healing, and inclusiveness continues to drive our actions and decision-making processes, even in the face of adversity.
