To honor and uplift the dedicated individuals working to end violence against Native women, children, and communities, CSVANW is honoring an Advocate of the Quarter. This advocate will exemplify someone who is committed to community advocacy in alignment with CSVANW’s values of kinship, healing, and inclusiveness. The chosen advocate will receive a certificate recognizing their work, a stipend, and a feature in our newsletter, social media, and website (with their permission) to uplift and celebrate their contribution. They will also have first access to events such as our annual Advocate Retreat. Our hope is that the Advocate of the Quarter will help foster a deeper sense of community for our advocates who are not always seen for the important work they do. May this initiative celebrate those who go above and beyond in advocacy, outreach, and community support!

NOTE: Advocates can be nominated by community members, colleagues, or CSVANW staff (you may not nominate yourself but can ask others to submit thoughtful nominations on your behalf). The final selection will be made by an internal review committee. In the case CSVANW determines there is a conflict of interest, the selected advocate will not receive a stipend.

An Advocate of the Quarter can only be selected one time per year. Government agencies and law enforcement agencies are not eligible for AOTQ. This program is made available by the funding from the Crime Victim Reparation Commission STOPVAWA Funds.
