July 26, 2019 – Family members and advocates of missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls (MMIW) are striving to keep the issue in the public and before policy makers. A lack of data is a major challenge in addressing the issue, but recent research has shown New Mexico has the highest number of MMIW cases in the country.
